I have a scooter that is getting a bit tired.
The bearings are shot in the steering column and pretty soon the tires will need to be replaced.

I spotted a ecological set up while on my scooter.
But unfortunately I wasn't able to take a photo of their huge rain barrel collection which could provide water for quite a long time. The person who maintains the place wasn't there but the security guard allowed me to look around.

Nearby is a huge field of wild grass. I spotted a key plant that is a good indicator of a vernal pool area. That
pink flower is owl's clover that is parasitic to the surrounding plants.

My parents collect rain water in barrels, and use it to water their vegetable garden.
I guess it's only a weed if you don't want it.
this is just amazing... solar cells can be expensive in my place though, but we do have rain water catchments... :)
