My past has a few things that have changed.

Here is a photo of a fence that I used to be able to get past. The plywood in the middle prevents a person from squeezing between the bars and getting on the other side.
The second photo shows a gate

that has enough space to squeeze thru. Why did I need to get in? To get to the cans and bottles that people threw away. I was a big recycler back in the days.....

Here is an interesting sign. Good-ha!!! Now I am wondering what kind of food they are serving.....

The internet is working quite well today and I will see how many photos I can upload. This is a picture at a food bank that is temporary closed. The only problem with this bank is that an Identification is required. I suppose no identification no food given away.

Here is a photo in which I took a while ago when the old trolley metal rails were still in the ground. They finally took it out and I suppose no rail will ever be at this location again.

Wow it was in July when I took that photo. Things do change slowly.

Good photos are nice remembrances. I don't recall if S.F. still has the old charlie cars. I have ridden them a few times--twice down to a wharf for lunch.
Skinny kids and fences are a great match. lol
Hope your day is going well. Mine is so quiet I can hear the spiders walking on the ceiling.

Great photos.
came to see your photos-that would be sad, no I.D. no food?
here in Texas you can write a check but they need not just your driver's lics. number . but your physical one. It took me a while to figure it out while I was waitting for my fast food.
I like the pictures and the commentary you added.
There was a food bank in TN that required and ID. I think it is closed now as well.
@Babyboomerjill - @C_L_O_G - No Christian organization would refuse to feed anyone, but the food bank uses ID to prevent abuse by people who try to return too many times. Homeless folks have been known to try to sell food they got for free so that they could get drugs.
@Mal_P - Sorry no photos of movie stars, but I did buy a phone with some famous people in it like Ryan Seacrest. Sorry I haven't kept up on your blogs but hey I try on the days I get free internet.
@ANVRSADDAY - On rainy days I for sure try to get out when it gets dry. I suppose staying indoors would drive you crazy?
@PPhilip - The one I know about in Tennessee was a Christian food bank. I think they were having abuse problems too.
really -never heard of selling food for drugs before. that's sad
Same locations with difference outlook... interesting photos.
What up what up.
Just dropping by to say 'Hi!"
Hope everything all okay with you there.
Yes changes come slowly but it seems when the actual change comes it happens all to fast.
Dear Philip,
I haven't visited you in a while, so thought I'd stop by. I'm "celebrating" my 7th year here on Xanga and each year at this time I go through old entries and check out those with whom I haven't been in correspondence with for a while. Possibly I never returned the last comments you left me, or else you stopped visiting regularly during one of my frequent hiatuses.
In any case, it is neat seeing these photoposts.
I especially like the photo of your scooter parked under the "no scootering" sign in an entry below.
Hope you are doing well.
In the late 90s and early 00s I bought 4 pretty expensive computers in a row as the technology was advancing and change came so fast. The PC I use now is from 2007.
I never even got a notebook, and now tablets are all the rage.
Wish I'd invested in another detachable drive too prior to my 1 TB internal "media drive" dying last month. I lost a lot of stuff, and could possibly get it retrieved, but it would cost a lot of money.
I never got a Palm device, and STILL don't own a cellphone. By the time I get a cellphone (when landlines disappear altogether) the phone WILL be the personal computer. With smart phones like the Iphone we're almost there!
I've enjoyed my visit.
