This long rant was sort of inspired by the reverse racism group. I sort of suffer silently with the rants of bigots because they seem to get more enjoyment when I rant back at them.
I don't know Kung Fu....
Well I sort of know how to fight but choose not to be violent. I feel bad hurting folks because I know how it is to be physically hurt and bullied. I studied martial arts (Judo and Aikido) and of course do watch and do meditation on types of manevers. Since Junior High School rarely have I been confronted with the choice to fight. It really is easier to back down, to run from fights or talk your way out of fights.
Long rants and long belitting topics sort of make me bored or want to leave.
I like complements and hate it when people do long drawn out rants on how terrible I am. It must be due to me being a Leo and hating disloyal comments aimed at Moi. I use the tool of leaving the job in order to escape criticism. However my tricky boss has used the flip side technique and has threatened not to work too....
Different languages sound "fast".
Recently someone has noticed that people speaking a different language sound fast. I suppose since I have listened to people with accents, that I have a higher tolerance for people who speak differently. A lot of Filippinos are sensitive when you criticize them for speaking Philippino. Pero (but) they work hard and enjoy moments when they can talk in their native tongue. I would never deprive anyone of their enjoyment of their breaktime, but occassionally I have to be reminded that no one should be too controlling .
Why aren't you more like the other Asians/Pacific Islanders/. Latins/Whites? Because Diversity gives us more different perspective/goals and more challenges.

Sometimes I'm too pale, sometimes I'm too fair, and sometimes I'm too yellow. I guess I'm all in one.
hear! hear! thank you PPhilip for speaking your mind :D
Long rants and long belittling topics usually make me leave. I find them kind of boring regardless of the subject. In fact, the subject can be changed and the rant and the belittling is the same time after time from blog to blog.
I really like hearing different languages and accents. It is a like a cool refreshing rain in this limited cultural desert where I currently stay.
I live in a small town and it's rare to hear someone speak another language so they usually get a lot of attention from us here in Texas unless it's hispanic and we know some of the language.
My mom is first generation American(Polish) and she had to learn English in first grade even though her parents were here forever they lived in a Polish community in Detroit.
@RestlessButterfly - My daughters seemed to be extremely sensitive to sun. Maybe it was the protective parent syndrome that made me worry about sun exposure to my daughters.
Then again skin rash on the face is/was also a worrisome thing to happen. Sometimes the face thing is just too personal....
@tribong_upos - Are Filippinos yellowish??? Well some
Pinoys worry if they are perceived as having too much Chinese blood
(then again that is part of the teasing and other things about
Phillipinos).
In America the Asian umbrella has opened the term to the inclusion of
American Pacific Islanders, Thus Asians and APIs. Someone should write
an article on that topic....
@PPhilip - you just answered your question :D although, Filipinos with liver problem could turn yellow :D just kidding, but, seriously, that is one topic that is yet to be explored by sociologists... nice topic for a thesis
Yes there is only one human being .

@DivaJyoti - I've learned a lot from your blogs. For sure all the bigots will get feedback that they can't include everyone in their stereotypes.
There are a lot of gentle people out there, but for sure they (the bullies and bigots) won't get away with the crimes they do without a peep from the meek folks like me.....
